Rev. Dr. Robin Blair is the founder of Common Good Radio, a listening ministry that began in 2008 and has reached listeners in over 80 countries through internet radio, music, storytelling, and podcasting. Her work is grounded in the conviction that love begins with listening, and she teaches the spiritual discipline of listening as a faithful response to
today’s noisy digital culture.
Through her spiritual coaching framework, *A Centered Way of Listening* Robin equips churches, educators, and families to nurture children’s faith, imagination, and discernment in a world shaped by media and technology. Her speaking and workshops address topics such as spiritual care through media literacy, raising children in an overwhelming digital culture, and cultivating spiritual formation in the age of screens.
As a spiritual director, the move to spiritual coaching as faith formation for families was natural as it made more sense to more mothers as a language they could move into with Dr. Robin, after serving over 20 years in pastoral ministry.
Robin has received numerous honors for her work in children’s media, including a Parent’s Choice Gold Award, Parents choice Honorable Mention, IParenting Media First Place, Minnesota Woman of the Year for children’s radio, and awards for audio excellence and religious children’s programming. She is also the author of the Amazon best-selling
children’s book Sad Pie: A Children’s Story of Tenderness and Trust.

Robin is an ordained UMC minister, speaker, author, and media producer whose work focuses on the spiritual well-being of children growing up in a digitally connected world.
With a Doctorate in Transformative Leadership from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, Robin’s work centers on the spiritual care of children and families, particularly as they navigate the formative influence of digital media. She also holds a Master’s degree in Theology and the Arts, Master of Divinity equivelency, and a Bachelor of Science in Music, bringing together theology, creativity, and communication in her ministry.
At the heart of her work is a simple invitation drawn from the teachings of Jesus:
“Let anyone with ears listen.”
She lives in the Finger Lakes area of New York state, loves to kayak with her family in the summer way out on the lake. There is a pleasure of awe in watching her daughter "cold plunge" in winter lake water while holding towels on the beach; and even more awe in blessing to share piano, ukelele, voice, and guitar lessons with her grandchildren because, "we write songs together" and that is the most and greatest love, ever.
